Online registration is open for this event through the evening of October 17, 2013. If the race has not sold out, walk up registration at Packet Pick-up will be available October 19, 2013.

Don't forget to bring the kids for their very own fun run (ages 4-12) hosted by Kids Fit Foundation! Kids Fit programs and events are designed to be a day for kids to reach their goals and to celebrate their healthy lifestyle achievements with their family and friends. We encourage all families to get their children active at a young age. All children receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal. Bring the camera and we'll bring the smiles!

  • 10:30 am - 5K run and walk awards at Festival Stage

This event will take place rain or shine, so please dress accordingly.


Course

For the safety of all participants, the following are prohibited: bicycles, in-line skates, skateboards and all motor-driven vehicles.

Portable toilets, fluid replacement and first aid will be available on the course. Certified medical personnel will be available at the start and finish areas of the race.


Timing System

State of the art ChronoTrack systems will be used to record participant finishing times. The ChronoTrack system uses a B-Tag, which is affixed to the back of your bib (race number), allowing you to walk away from the finish without the need to have your tag collected.

*Please note: All participants must wear their bib in order to have their times recorded. Race Results will be posted on our results page shortly after the race.


Gear Check

Gear check will be available for all participants on race day. Please tear off the gear check tag from the bottom of your race bib and attach it to your bag.


Photography

Participants will receive FREE downloadable race photos!

There will be photographers along the course snapping your photo for some great action shots, but make sure to stop by the finish line festival to take your official finisher's photo!

*Please note: Your race bib is how your photos will be tagged to yourself, so make sure to wear it on race day in a clear visible spot on the front of your clothing. You will receive an email when your photos are available for viewing, complete with easy links to share on Facebook and Twitter!


Runner Secure Zone/Finish Line

Once you cross the finish line you'll enter a Runner Secure Zone - a fenced off area for race participants only. You will receive water, sports drink, and food.

From Hwy. 53 North or South: Exit Hwy. 53 onto Clairemont Ave. (Hwy. 12) and go West. Turn left on Patton St. Take a quick right onto Lexington Blvd. Turn right on State St. (go down the hill). Turn left on Summit Ave. The Haas Fine Arts Center will be on your left immediately after the bridge.

From I-94 from the West: Exit I-94 at Hwy. 37 (exit #65) and turn right. At the first stoplight, turn right onto Hamilton Ave. (by US Bank). Turn left on State St. Turn left on Summit Ave. The Haas Fine Arts Center will be on your left immediately after the bridge.

From I-94 from the East: Exit I-94 at Hwy. 93 (exit #68) and turn right. Turn left at Golf Rd. and follow for 1.8 miles. Turn right on State St. Turn left on Summit Ave. The Haas Fine Arts Center will be on your left immediately after the bridge.

*Be prepared to park in the alternate parking lot. There will be shuttles and buses running throughout the day to and from Carson Park. Please allow 15 minutes for parking and shuttle service. Service will end at 3:00pm.


Spectators

We welcome all spectators to cheer on participants and loved ones! There is no fee to be a spectator at this race. Spectators are advised to be in place 1 hour before race start on Race Day.

Rules and Policies

Race Rules

You must bring a photo ID to pick up your own race bib and timing chip at packet pick-up. No one else can pick up your packet for you.

Race bibs are required to participate.

No coaches, handcycles, bikes, in-line skates, skateboards or dogs will be allowed on the course.


Course Time Limit

Participants have 5 hours to complete the half marathon (22 min/mile pace). The 5K participants have 1.5 hours to complete the course (30 min/mile pace). The course has a rolling street closure. If you fall behind this pace, the roads will be reopened to normal traffic and you will be a pedestrian and subject to normal traffic rules.


Cancellations

Entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and entries are NON-TRANSFERABLE. Sorry, no exceptions. Once we receive and accept your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate. You may not give or sell your number to anyone else. You also may not transfer your application to the following year or another event. If you attempt to sell your race number, you may be banned from future events for three years.
